New Trier Republicans Endorse Tom Cross for Illinois Treasurer

The New Trier Republican Organization - who just recently flexed their political muscle by securing the election of one of their members, Richard Porter of Winnetka, to be the new Republican National Committeeman for the State of Illinois - released their endorsements for statewide office today.

In addition to endorsing Doug Truax for US Senate, the NTRO backed Tom Cross for the office of Illinois Treasurer.  In their endorsement release, the New Trier Republicans said:

In the Treasurer’s race, State House Minority Leader Tom Cross bested CPA Bob Grogan by earning 60 percent of the vote.

Committeeman Bill Cadigan said about the process:

“I am grateful for all the candidates that appeared today,” Cadigan said. “Our membership is a very thoughtful, independent-minded group, and they enjoyed the chance to hear from all the campaigns and vigorously question them on the issues. We are excited to support our endorsed candidates as they capture our party’s nomination in March and all the way to victory in November.”
