GOP National Star and Peoria Congressman Aaron Schock has already come out and endorsed Doug Truax for the GOP nomination for the United State Senate (in the race against Jim Oberweis) but now he's also standing up for another Statewide candidate. This time, it is Republican Candidate for Treasurer Tom Cross.
Cross and Schock go back aways with Tom Cross - the the head of the House Republicans - supporting candidate Aaron Schock in his first bid for State Representative.

“Illinois needs leaders we can trust and I trust Tom Cross. Tom has been a strong advocate for Central Illinois and has led the effort to support key job creation initiatives for our region while ensuring our schools and universities receive their fair share of state investment,” said Schock. “Tom is running for treasurer because he wants to restore trust, protect taxpayers and make a real, serious difference in the lives of our state’s citizens.”The Congressman Schock endorsement is the latest in a string of Central Illinois elected officials backing Tom Cross and should help bolster the Cross for Treasurer campaign in and around Peoria.
