Politicians: Be Careful What You Tweet... The Truth Team Is Watching

The Washington Examiner picked up on our story from last week where we highlighted how State Senator Mike Frerichs and Congressional Candidate Ann Callis tweeted photos of an event they called "Great" but had just four people show up.

We're excited to see other folks glom onto the Frerichs Twitter story:
An Illinois watchdog group is hammering two Democrats, state Sen. Mike Frerichs and congressional hopeful Ann Callis, over what it says appears to be a low attendance fundraiser in DeWitt County.

The senator posted a photo with the tweet showing four people in attendance, prompting a response from the Illinois Truth Team – a group of residents who believe the state is heading in the wrong direction.

“Perhaps Big Mike Frerichs and his team should be thinking twice about what they’re posting to their social networks. This isn’t exactly sending the right signals,” a post on the organization’s website says.
